Director: Andrew Hida | Producer: Andrew Hida
Focus Years: 2011 | Country: United States
Synopsis:
In the early evening of May 15, 2001, Michael “Mick†Caulfield, at age 17, crashed his Porsche into a telephone pole in Manlius, New York. After a year of rehabilitation, Mick recovered from a severe traumatic brain injury to walk at his high school graduation.
Ten years later, Mick faces a new set of challenges since being convicted of sexual abuse in 2009--likely the result of his head injury and subsequent impairment on his judgment, decision-making, and impulse control. Supported by his mother, Beth Caulfield, Mick still struggles to rebuild his life, now carefully negotiating his freedom under the constraints of house arrest and his head injury.
