Synopsis:
The town of Quillagua is considered the driest place within the driest desert in the world, the Atacama Desert, Chile. Located at the Loa river banks it was considered an oasis, thanks to the water of the river they could sustain agriculture and farming, until in the 80’s the major mining companies polluted the Loa river and bought the water rights, this was their only source of irrigation water. Since then the town has lived in constant decay and is constituted mainly of elderly population. Through the documentary we will see the current situation of the town and the tale of its people.
