Phil Simon presents an entertaining and informative film about honeybees, bee behavior and basic beekeeping showing a very personal relationship between him and his bees. Highlights include: • a swarm of 10,000 bees crawling up Phil's legs in search of their queen bee, • close-up and macro photography of the life cycles of the 3 different castes of bees in a bee hive, • the fight to the death of two rival queens, • the male drone bees, • the amazing 'waggle' dance of the honeybee, • close-ups of a bee stinging Phil's finger and the stinger still pumping poison long after the stinger has torn away from the bee.
