Synopsis:
Most of the land traditionally used for coffee farming in Colombia has been re-appropriated and turned into grazing land. This has been a drastic change to the ecosystems of the Café Zonateria, a region in the middle of the country, which were developed primarily for coffee. The exportation of coffee from Colombia has placed new pressures on coffee farmers that they’ve not faced before, and some farmers are opting to return to traditional permaculture to reclaim the land. Pedro Lorenzo Burgos Grajales and his wife Maryori are among this camp. This is their story.
