Synopsis:
The theme of the film is fair trade practices on organic cotton farming in India. The film has been shot over the period of eight months in different parts of India (in the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal), with parts also shot in Paris, France to depict the existence of market rationality, fair trade certification, increasing fair trade movement and the participatory guarantee system (PGS). In "The Bicycle Is Not Far", a cotton field worker shows how fair trade practices improve the lives of herself and her family.
