Synopsis:
Tenzing is an 8 year old Monk who lives with the other boys in the great Monastery of Thiksey, Leh Ladakh. Each morning, the boys attend the morning prayers with chants and a lecture by the Scary Chief Priest, but the boys are boys and have no clue what is being said to them or why they do what they do. One day, the Scary Chief Priest lectures them on the importance of the lack of the desire to possess, which is the secret of true happiness. Tenzing has no idea what he means. The same day, Tenzing finds a 5-rupee coin near the Giant Buddha statue and slowly begins to lose his peace of mind in looking after his precious new possession. This film is about how he not only realizes the true meaning of the Scary Priest's lecture but also develops a special relationship with Lord Buddha.
