Synopsis:
After losing two of her four children (one lost to a terrorist attack), Nelly Portughez feels that she has nothing to live for. Hope is reborn when she decides to raise four abandoned babies - all with Down syndrome. Raising the four babies as if they were regular children, by the age of sixteen, their achievements are unique; the four now play music together in a string quartet. Despite opposition from her two biological daughters Yael and Yonat, Nelly is making efforts to adopt Yoni. Yoni is the most gifted of the foursome, and also the only one whose parents broke off all contact after abandoning him. We join Nelly in her struggle against the obstacles towering at every turn on the part of the establishment, and her family. Will she succeed?
