Synopsis:
Mid-way passed on a journey through the films of Vittorio De Seta - the great Italian film director, author of authentic masterpieces both in the field of documentary film and fiction - the work of Salvo Cuccia finds a way to narrate the last 50 years of transformation in Italy, from ancient to industrial and mediatic society.... The documentary includes conversations with the writer Vincenzo Consolo, film critics as Goffredo Fofi, Michele Mancini and Marco Maria Gazzano, the cinematographer Luciano Tovoli, the film directors Franco Maresco and Gianfranco Pannone, the geographer Eugenio Turri, and new interviews with the old farmers, miners and fishermen portrayed by De Seta in his early documentaries of the 1950s.
