Synopsis:

"The Lies of Liberty" documentary highlights the human rights abuses taking place on a daily basis against Mongolia's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. LGBT people are one of the most persecuted, stigmatised and discriminated against minorities in Mongolia. Their lives are shrouded in a general lack of acceptance within society, and violence and hatred are a day-to-day reality. The documentary features members of the community speaking of their lives and the challenges they face, the dreams they have, and the acceptance for which they so long.
