Synopsis:
"Za Wymdmą (Behind the Dune)" is a short documentary story on the fishermen in the small settlement in northern Poland. Most of their lives passes on the sea-coast. The sea is the source of livelihood, as well a threat to their existence. There they enjoy their successes, feel their sorrows and anxieties but mainly it is a place of hard labor where children learn their parents’ lives. Sometimes at a young age, they revolt innocently but against the relentless rules of nature. Between all these very prosaic stories, daily activities fishermen maintain their strength, believing that it is a superior, powerful instance that imposes logic and adds sense to every bit of life.
