Synopsis:
Aquí sobre la tierra (Here On Earth) tells the story of the migration of the Nahua people from the Huasteca region to Guadalajara, Mexico's second largest city, and the social, cultural and economic repercussions this phenomenon entails in Santa Cruz, their little home village. The stories of a fifteen-year-old boy who drops out from school in order to go to work as a mason to the city, an experienced woman migrant who has been lucky with business and now plans to emigrate to the United States and the assassination of a young mother who entrusted her children to her family in Santa Cruz and left to Guadalajara seeking for a steady job are some of the threads which make up this film.
