Synopsis:
What happens to a beautiful girl whose world burns down one night and she wakes up 5 months later to a harsh reality? How can she deal with the burns, the multiple operations, the treatments and most importantly where would she come up with the willpower she needs in order to survive this new reality? After being unconscious for nearly 5 months, Kinneret Boosany opened her eyes and realized that her last shift as a bartender at My Coffee Shop on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv was a fatal one. Only a third of her body wasn't burnt in the explosion. On that night, when a Palestinian suicide bomber of her age entered the place, asking for a cup of coffee, Kinneret was 23 years old. Her Lycra clothes were set on fire as the bottles of alcohol behind her lit up. when she arrived the the hospital emergency room she was in critical condition. For 2 months she survived on morphine and only after that did she start the recovery process, which will continue for the rest of her life. Since then Kinneret has been documenting herself with a video camera. Kinneret is one of more than 7,000 victims of the Intifada which erupted in October 2001. In her video Kinneret comes to terms with her operations, her pain, her family, the lack of ability of society to deal with her terrible injuries and above all with the separation from Tal, her beloved boyfriend, for four years.
