Synopsis:
This is a film on Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India and second in Asia, which practices Mahayana Buddhism and controls 17 Gompas in the region. This world-famous monastery of the Gelukpa was founded during the 17th century by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso, a contemporary of the 5th Dalai Lama and is situated at an altitude of 3300 meters to this far-flung town in Arunachal Pradesh. The film is about ageless wisdom. It focuses on the highest goal presented in Mahayana Buddhism: how to become a Bodhisattva, one who pursues the path of spiritual development and advancement solely for the sake of being of the utmost help and service to humanity and who, upon eventually reaching to the very threshold of Nirvana, renounces its eternal bliss in order to keep consciously reincarnating on earth so as to help and serve others and to help guide them along the way too.
