Synopsis:
There are exceptional archaeological sites in southern Senegal, unique in the world, in the wonderful region of Saloum: mountains of seashells, vestiges of a very ancient African civilization, and in which the dead were buried beside jewellery, weapons, and pottery. Following the development of two archaeological incursions, the film approaches the problem of the difficulty of treating the African history, due to the lack of written documents and a fading oral tradition. The main interest of this documentary is to convey to a large public the whispers of the history of the Saloum Islands. The African history is about to be written, to be discovered, step by step.
