Synopsis:
In this short Mark tells us about the abuse he suffered at the hands of his parents. This video was part of a series I undertook working with a Christian organization call Anesis.
Anesis Street Ministry, a Christian voluntary organisation was originally founded by two young men from Northpoint Church, Bell Green, Coventry. Their original aim was to reach out on a voluntary basis to help and support the homeless, drug addicted, alcoholic men and women, the needy, money less and lonely people of Coventry.
With first hand accounts of some of the people they help and how lives are transformed. The unexpected reasons for how people arrive at homelessness and onto the street and the people that help them.
The fundamental belief of Anesis is that everyone has a purpose, a destiny, a reason to belong. Some may have forgotten what that is, through the trials and adversity in their lives, but through the love of those who reach out to them, Anesis hopes to help them rediscover their worth.
Shortly after the making of this video, Mark took his own life.
