Synopsis:
In the most industrialized nations of Asia, divorce rates are soaring, birth rates are plummeting, populations are aging and fewer people are getting married. Hellen Chen, Taiwan’s most successful marriage consultant is tackling the most dysfunctional relationship she has ever known, that of her parents. Sixty years ago, Hellen’s parents fell in love but now they can barely speak to one another, having separated 50 times. Hellen is determined to bring her parents together in time for their 60th wedding anniversary. The Chens' poignant story reflects the state of marriage and family in Taiwan and intimately portrays the profound social changes taking place across Asia’s economic miracle nations.
