Synopsis:
A moving autobiographical film. Writer-director Andrée Cazabon has lived the life of a runaway, in spite of her loving suburban home. Now, years later in Letters to a Street Child, Andrée Cazabon brings to light the street kid family's perspective. The film centers on the letters written to her while she was on the streets and in group homes at the age 13-14. The film and its guide have been widely used for working with youth, parents, professional training of police officers, front line workers, governmental agencies and as a prevention and intervention tool for schools, youth institutions and treatment facilities.
