Director: Morteza Rezvani | Producer: Bahareh Rezvani
Focus Years: 2012 | Country: United States
Synopsis:
After many years away in 2010 I went to Iran to attend a family wedding. A deep curiosity about my family roots and the history of my birthplace had made me anxiously ready to explore, learn, and document our journey. When there we traveled from the shores of Caspian Sea in the north to Tehran, the capital - to Esfahan, where I was born and spent my formative adolescence years – to Shiraz, the birth place of Saadi and Hafez, the influential Persian poets of 13th and 14th Century – and to the ruins of Persepolis, the magnificent seat of the Persian Empire. THE IRAN I REMEMBER is a nostalgic and informative recollection of an expatriate’s journey back to Iran.
