Synopsis:
This documentary is filmed in the territory of the Miskito at the coast of Nicaragua and Honduras. It chronicles the life and work of the Pikineras women, who have recently moved into Miskito territory in the bay to find work in the business of buying and trading lobsters from the divers. We get a peak into the magical world of the Miskito, their mystical beliefs and strong, masculine worldviews. We learn about the fight of the Pikineras women and the discrimination they must face conducting their daily work.
