Synopsis:
“From Border to Border” is a documentary about Chinese immigration in India. At the end of 18th century, Chinese people started to migrate into India. Over 200 years, they have experienced the British colonial period, the independent period, the Sino-Indian war, and the rotation of different regimes. And now, in recent years, a Chinese star has become extremely famous in Bollywood. Since then, the social status of the Chinese under India's caste social system has started to change… This documentary adopts practical fieldwork and collecting many opinions from the locals about the aspects of politics, economic, race, and culture. At the same time, it also investigates the identity and mental status of Chinese within the immigration history, and traces back the story behind Chinese immigrants in India.
