Unsupersize Me is a documentary about personal trainer Juan-Carlos Asse taking obese woman Tracy Ryan, and helping her lose 200 pounds in a year on a plant-based diet. The film shows the hardships an obese person must endure throughout life, and how drastically life changes in a positive way as Tracy regains control of her life through Asse's guidance. An interesting twist is that Asse served a 7 year sentence in federal prison for selling ecstasy. In prison he studied and mastered nutrition and exercise. Asse uses his incarceration experience to help Ryan escape the imprisonment of her unhealthy, unwieldy body. This is an amazing and inspirational story about overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles!
