Although he was a sinner during his youth, he repents at the age of 23 and becomes a man of God. He starts a journey all over his region and builds many schools and mosques. His poems are amongst the richest Sufi poems. His descendants live still in Torbat-é-Jam. His life story is a composition of legend and reality.
