Synopsis:
The Deosai Plateau in Gilgit Baltistan, in northernmost Pakistan, is home to the endangered Himalayan Brown Bear. It is the only sanctuary in the whole of South Asia where the populations are being sustained and are in fact increasing. The Deosai National Park was created to protect the survival of this magnificent species. This film looks at the Park and the hope for the Bears' survival there, but also at the impoverished communities that live nearby and rely on the Parks resources for their own survival. How will man and the Bear reconcile their competing needs so that both can thrive here?
