Gorakhpur is the second largest city in the mid-Gangetic plains of India. This film tells the story of a city grappling with the dual pressures of urbanization and climate change. Bit by bit, it unravels the various factors that make the citizens of Gorakhpur a very vulnerable lot. In effect, this is the story of many fast-growing cities in the developing world. While highlighting the enormous challenges in Gorakhpur, the film builds a case for local governments and citizens to work together to make their cities resilient and sustainable.
