Synopsis:
While taking a walk on a remote Welsh hillside 30 years ago - Peter came upon a secret valley. He had always dreamed of living in a remote and beautiful place far away from a modern world he found hard to be happy in. He lived completely alone until 3 years ago when Peter found a new - born lamb lying abandoned on the hill. He looked around for the lamb’s mother but she was no where to be found - so Peter picked it up, took it home, and named him Ben. Peter managed to keep Ben alive – and now he is a very large boisterous ram. Peter and Ben have formed a close and quirky friendship – Peter sees the similarity between them, he has left his flock and so has Ben. But Peter is concerned that Ben is becoming more human than sheep. When Ben makes several aggressive attempts to break into Peter’s house – Peter decides he has had enough. The next day he drives Ben to a hill several miles away and leaves him there. On Peter’s return he realises that life is very quiet without his friend. The next day he wakes up early to see if Ben has managed to find his way home (half hoping he has). But Ben is nowhere to be seen. Peter says he is glad that Ben has not come back - but we can see that he is now becoming seriously worried. Will Ben come back to Peter?
