Synopsis:
After months of planning, Josh Thomas & J.J. Kelley pack up all their essentials, to "Pedal to the Midnight Sun". On June 7th, 2006, Kelley and Thomas began a 1,200 mile bike expedition across Alaska, from the Pacific to the Arctic Ocean. They would attempt to reach the far northern petroleum fields of Prudhoe Bay solely under their own power. Armed with two camcorders, the adventurers documented their experience: a people-powered program. A tremendous expanse of adventure awaited them. They were challenged by some of the most physically demanding roads in North America. Throughout the challenge, they would find time to visit an Alaskan wedding, take a flight plane to the glaciers of Mt. Denali, and visit the real Santa Claus in the North Pole. However, the ultimate question may remain unanswered: whether there really is something tangible to take from such a life experience … other than Josh’s new fleece pants.
