Synopsis:
This is an investigation of the future of our planet, and our own civilization threatened by the consequences of our actions and lifestyles. When will oil disappear? How will climate be affected? What will be the consequences? Is nuclear power a viable alternative? What should we do in order to save ourselves? Six major experts - Nobel Prize laureate Joseph Stiglitz, Jeremy Rifkin, Michael Pollan, Lester R. Brown, Wolfgang Sachs, Mathis Wackernagel - will take us to every corner of the World, from the Indo-Gangetic Plain to the Antarctic, from Amazon to Iraq, to prove that we are in danger of extinguishing our specie and all the other populating planet Earth. But their answers show us possible ways out, too: renewable energies, smart grids, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, containment of overpopulation, sustainable diet and, above all, a firm and immediate take of political action.
