Director: Julio Mourao | Producer: Julio Mourao
Focus Years: 2009 | Country: Brazil
Synopsis:
This film is a travel documentary on the Chilean Patagonia. Our trip begins with a flight over the Andes, above its snow-clad volcanoes and glaciers. Next we navigate the Strait of Magellan to a penguin colony on Magdalena Island, and then we take a van ride to one of the most beautiful and preserved places on the planet: the Torres del Paine National Park. There we hike around the amazing peaks of the Paine Massif - called the “torres†(towers) and “cuernos†(horns) of Paine - and get close to the Grey Glaciar, observing the landscape of Patagonia, with its lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and its varied flora and rich wildlife.
