Synopsis:
The documentary deepens some aspects of the thought of Sri Aurobindo who inspired the foundation of the city of Auroville and the Ashram of Pondicherry. Auroville is a universal city recognized by UNESCO and backed by the Indian Government. It is inhabited by people all over the world and has been founded with a view to bring about human unity in the respect of all cultures and all individuals. The interviews of the reportage are direct testimonies of people who are taking part in the experiment which started forty years ago. Sri Aurobindo is considered to be one of the fathers of the country and a national hero, but also a great poet and philosopher. In his vision and according to his experiences, man is being in transition and is at present undergoing an evolutionary process leading to a new human species which will be less limited than ours.
