Synopsis:
The story of two communities in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, both fighting for the right to manage their forest. The first community, in the village of Semanki, are fighting against the constraints imposed by the establishment of a national park. The second, in Labbo, are making the most of their “extraordinary opportunity†to set up one of Indonesia's first “village forestsâ€, and exercise that promises to make not just their livelihoods, but also the future of their forest much more secure.
