Synopsis:
In Ouahigouya (Burkina Faso), the rainy season is a long time coming. Everyone is ready to go into the bush and work the land. However, the rain is timidly showing itself with the infrequent light showers. The sorghum and the millet will have difficulty to grow, and the sowing of groundnuts and beans has not been completed. The monsoon is late; the first heavy rains have not arrived as expected. Despite the worries, some hope still remains but the men are gripped by doubts concerning the future harvest. Could famine be anything else but fate?
