Synopsis:
Jean, a small town child preacher victimized by child abuse, grows up in a mental institution without speaking. At age 26, he is involuntarily released and ends up in a broken-down, abandoned motel. Cory, a woman of similarly darkened past, happens along. Through the care that emerges, each for the other, they begin a precarious journey of healing, but not before a final confrontation with Jean’s abusive mother and some strange mentoring from a traveling preacher.
