Wattanabe-San| 2mins
Director: Ross McDonnell | Producer: Manu Riche
Focus Years: 2011 | Country: United States
Synopsis:
An average Sendai taxi driver before the disastrous Tsunami of 3-11 struck the North-Eastern seaboard of Japan, Wattanabe-San's life took on a new direction, that of a fixer for media outlets.
As we traveled around the ruined landscapes, I felt compelled to take some pictures of Wattanabe-San, still in his immaculately pressed suit. I also asked him about his experiences navigating the disaster on his doorstep.
This short film short is the result.
