What race/culture do we belong to? /
isn’t it the one & only
that united hearts & minds of
our grandparents in yester centuries & eons
to imagine for us this day? /
they lived stories of past, /
of future they created, for us, /
to be the present now. /
we - the only race, able to imagine, /
tell stories to nourish the present, /
create new ones to nurture the future. /
leaders among us venture out in unknown, /
to see the colors in the dark, /
tell stories to grill, heal & grow, us all, /
some with blood, others with mind, /
some with words, others with pictures, /
and some others with these all create /
stories & songs ushering the change. /
the leader - the storyteller, /
entrusted this role & mission to foment
our culture / and move life beyond, /
we salute you, /
whatever velocity in your push. /
we salute you for the time that is to come, /
life that is to arrive, /
culture that is to be unplugged.
