Major "Muggi" Sumner : Director: Global Oneness Project |
Genre: Documentary | Produced In: 2006
Synopsis: Major "Muggi" Sumner, is an Aboriginal elder and cultural ambassador of the Ngarrindjeri Nation of South Australia. Major leads a dance group that has performed around Australia and in North America, Europe and South Korea. Major had a "yarn" (as he called it) with us seated at the base of a giant tree near his home in Adelaide. He sees many of his people following a way of self-interest and forgetfulness of Aboriginal values. Muggi tells us that Australia is a land big enough for a lot of people, but only if they are considerate to one another.
