Synopsis: A family faces the last night of its eldest member, showing their different ways of dealing with a life's ending. In a surprising manner, overcoming fear and taboo, one of them will guide the passing. DIRECTOR'S NOTE: Giving birth to death, "Alumbramiento" is the synthesis of all the things I perceived at the passing of the oldest generation of my family. It was the first time I saw how people close to me, who had been present in my life from the beginning, face the end of their own lives. Death seemed to me a sort of birth, one which, rather than initiate a new beginning, brought about the creation of a closure, an end, upon which I felt more light could be shed.
