Veils : Director: Dan Susman | Genre: Drama | Produced In: 2007
Synopsis: "Veils" is a modern-day London diaspora story about a Jewish bride and a Palestinian groom on their wedding day. Tensions run high as the grandparents try their utmost to sabotage the day, but it’s the parents of the bride and groom who face the greatest challenges. However, this is not a standard Romeo and Juliet story of forbidden love - as time begins to run out, the families race towards a surprising and thought-provoking climax. "Veils" boasts a stellar cast including Maureen Lipman ("The Pianist") and David Horovitch (reprising their Oscar-nominated partnership of 1999’s "Solomon & Gaenor"), Ray Panthaki ("Eastenders", "Kidulthood", "28 Days Later"), with original music composed by Chad Hobson ("Stardust", "Hannibal Rising"), and produced by Steve McLaughlin ("Die Hard", "Lethal Weapon", "X-Men").
