Synopsis: Highlighting the high concentration of pesticides, heavy metals and other physio-chemical parameters in the river and groundwater of Hindon river and its catchment, this 13 min. film focuses on how the lifeline of the region if polluted turns to be taking lives of the people. The industrial pollution and its impact supported by scientific studies and data is dealt at length and also shows the apathy of the stakeholders. The hell impacts of the polluted Hindon and the sufferings of the community with serious ailments like cancer gives reasons how knowingly or unknowingly we are turning the Amritdhara to Vishdhara (Nectar to Poison). Directed by Rakesh Khatri, this documentary film has earned widespread appreciation.
