Synopsis:
Wasted is a film exploring our apathy towards the waste situation in Delhi. It traces the journey of waste from a house to a landfill and beyond. Globalization and consumerism has led to ignorance, indifference, arrogance and complete abdication of responsibilities by a civilization towards its environment. 'Wasted' reflects the disconnect between us and our environment and the conflict between desire and survival. The film also looks at that section of the society whose whole existence depends on the waste that we produce. The sad and often hazardous life of the rag pickers is well explored in the film. The film highlights the irony of our waste being someone else's source of existence.
