Synopsis:
Piedmont, Northern Italy. A year in the shelter where Diarra, a young man from Ivory Coast, and his companions of misfortune live. They are waiting to get political asylum. Some of them fled from war, others are seeking a new future, for which they paid handsomely. The empty days are interspersed with conversations, confrontations, and the looming prospect of the shelter closing... Until the so-called “North Africa emergency,†which they found themselves involuntarily involved in, comes to an end. Diarra and the others are forced to hit the road again, each of them heading toward a different destiny.
