Synopsis:
¨Well being¨ is a short video inspired by the traditional and unique official policy of Bhutan, Gross National Happiness. GNH, the guiding philosophy of Bhutan, is a balanced and holistic approach to development in stark contrast to the Gross National Product(GNP). GNH was pronounced by HM King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, in 1972. Bhutan stands apart from the rest of the world, and in doing so has an important global message in an age of increasing materialism. In the face of enormous pressure towards globalization, Bhutan has successfully preserved its ancient culture, arts, and religious lineages.
One must ask and consider as to whether focusing on happiness can lead us to a more peaceful, harmonious and equitable world, and truly sustainable and civilized human society
