Jason Rodiedit
The Medium is Life
I studied film at UCSB and graduated with great distinction from NYU. I started the multimedia and entertainment company, Moment Factory, in 2001. Guided by a passion for family, adventure, and storytelling, I sailed across the Pacific ocean, skied to the North and South Poles, and climbed the highest mountain on every continent. My first film The Eye of the Son (2004) was nominated for best documentary at the Gemini Awards. My second, 99¢ Dreams (2008), is an experimental documentary feature shot across the seven continents. I directed a narrative feature,The NOMADS of OZ, in 2011, and launched BOUVETØYA - The Last Place on Earth in 2012. This epic sea voyage toward the summit of the most remote island on Earth was a participative project that resulted in a web series and television documentary for Discovery World. In 2013 I acquired NOMAD Nation, creative studios exploiting transmedia content production. I'm presently dedicated to my two daughters, Jane & AliX, my content agency, NOMAD Industries, and the development of a television station, NOMAD Live, based on web content about community, art, and travel.
