Ukrainian mothers, worried about the effects of pollution on their children’s health, are a remarkable example of determination and courage. They are recognized for their defense of citizen’s rights and have successfully lobbied against the privatization of the public water company of Odessa, whilst at the same time promoting water consumer’s responsibility through water saving in homes.
