Synopsis:
Filmed in Florida, the focus of this documentary is to enlighten, educate, and share the amazing life and achievements of a ‘gifted’ Native American medicine man who has helped countless people in his lifetime offering ‘alternative medicine’ with his natural herbal recipes that have been passed down through generations for over 10,000 years. Billy’s herbal ‘teas’ have helped cancer patients, couples with fertility issues, Hepatitis C, Parkinson's disease, lupus, HIV, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and arthritis, to name a few.
This documentary, hosted and narrated by Native American actor, J. LaRose, includes on-camera testimony from people and doctors who have used Billy’s teas with much success. Dr. Mukesh H. Mehta of the Hernando Medical Center in Brooksville, FL says, “Not only have I shared, but I have been an advocate of that “Tea,†and have referred it to many patients and doctors.â€
A special segment in the history and use of the ‘tea’ focuses on Dr. Charles Brusch, a personal physician to the late John F. Kennedy. When approached, Dr. Brusch recommended the ancient Ojibwa Indian “tea†to Dr. Farber, the physician treating Ted Kennedy’s young son who suffered from an incurable type of cancerous sarcoma. Ted Kennedy Jr. is alive and cancer-free today. This is a remarkable and-well documented event that we have included in this documentary.
The documentary also features Native American healing rituals and practices, statistical information regarding drug companies, and the bridging between Western bio-medicine and Native American medicine; an element being integrated in today’s health care.
