Synopsis:
The Way of Rivers documents Native-led resistance against uranium mining on Algonquin territory. It shows the Algonquin-led occupation and protest culminating in the proclamation of an Algonquin moratorium on uranium mining and the reasons and facts behind it. The Algonquin spiritual leader, the Late Grandfather William Commanda is in a leading role behind the organized protest. This generation has to take care of the environment in accordance with the Algonquin law, founded on spiritual principles, to consider what the environment will be like for the seventh generation from now.
