Synopsis:
I am a documentary film maker with an artistic perspective to film making. Originally from Tamil Nadu, India. I'm in to my master's in Contemporary Practice from NAFA, Singapore. I had produced documentary film on the heart breaking kumbakonam tragedy where in 94 children lost their lives in the school fire accident. No amount of reactive measures can avert tragic fires of the kind that had occurred, and the incident made me realize the value of human life and portray the pitiable conditions of the orphaned parents. I made another film on the after effects of tsunami, the huge seismic sea waves that killed thousands across nations. I also came up with making few films on the lives of tribes in and around coimbatore district. During the making of those films, it simply made me understand their lifestyle and their easiness to adapt to the available resources. At present I'm into a project on the Indian workers at Singapore, where in the ground research about their lifestyle revealed their actual position while being workers, who are exposed to various traits. The workers stay away from their families only for money and forgo the cheerful moments with their folks. While focusing on Sundays in little India,it was quite interesting to know different activities in a particular day. This was a film what I observed and analyzed through the journey of my camera in little India.
