Synopsis:
A single mother with her daughters, living in the vicinity of Havana. The situation of having a woman to support and raise children without the support of the father, is a difficult one which is common within Latin culture. The weight of life rests on the shoulders of women. Despite this, the joy of the Cuban people to live life on a collective basis is expressed here in this family, the music and dance. [en español:] Una madre soltera mas y sus hijas, viven en los alrededores de La Habana. La situación de dificultad que tiene una mujer para mantener y criar hijos sin el apoyo del padre, se repite en nuestra cultura latina. El peso de la vida recae sobre las espaldas de las mujeres. Pese a esto, la alegrÃa que tiene el pueblo cubano para vivir la vida de manera colectiva, se expresa aquà en esta familia, en el la música y en el baile.
