Una Stagione all'Inferno| 11mins
Director: Alessandro Nucci | Producer: Alessandro Nucci with MSF
Focus Years: 2008 | Country: Italy
Synopsis:
Every year, thousands of migrants are illegally employed as seasonal farm workers in the fields of southern Italy. These workers remain invisible despite the support they provide to an entire economical sector: agriculture. In 2007, a team of Médicins Sans Frontières (MSF) doctors traveled through regions in the south of Italy with a mobile clinic. MSF saw and interviewed more than 600 migrants. "Una Stagione all'Inferno" covers the work of these doctors to show the dramatic situation of the migrants living but a few miles from our cities, in places that seem to belong to another continent.
