Synopsis:
The hinterland of Brazil is one of the most drought-prone areas in the world, with a majority of the population living dependent upon agriculture. Chico Mariano, João Ferreira and Antonio Lima - three men are among hundreds - who were born with a special gift: they predict the rains. Since the beginning of time, people have sought a way to observe and recognize nature's signs. This ability has been lost in the present day. In the sertão (backlands) region of northeast Brazilian, men known as Rain Prophets translate forecasts into hope.
