Swami is a term referring to a religious ascetic, or holy person, who has given up worldly pursuits in order to devote their life to the Divine path. Swami is a respectful term, and a Swami could be understood as a ‘master’ of the spiritual path within Hinduism. Swami Kupendra lives in the South of India, near the fabulous ancient city of Hampi. This documentary explores his world, as he carries on the traditions of a culture more than 2500 years old, preserving it for future generations.
